Biscuits, Lollipops and the Attitude of a Three Year Old
So we gave Biscuit a dum-dum (lollipop, sucker, whatever) the other night. She of course takes days to finish one of these things which means she still has it when we head out to dinner. On the way she falls asleep with her fingers firmly clutched around the sucker. When we reach our destination, Chris throws away the sucker and shakes her shoulder to wake her up.
An hour later we are putting on coats and Biscuit pulls a Macaulay Culkin:
"Oh No! Where is my lollipop!"
Chris explains, "Biscuit, you fell asleep with it in the car. I had to throw it away. Remember you were so sleepy that I had to shake you awake?"
To which she replies in her best "you are an idiot" voice , "Daddy, I wasn't sleeping. I was just looking out the window."
There are times when holding in the laughter just isn't possible....
